The Sunshine Open is a great tennis tournament held in Kamloops the second weekend in August. The tournament is hosted at the Kamloops Tennis Association club and on some of the fine Kamloops...
This is a power packed weekend of tennis with two levels of singles, doubles and mixed doubles categories. If you enter two events you are sure to play anywhere from 6 to 8 two set matches and if you advance from your box some additional best out of three matches. This is a huge tennis weekend.
It is important to bring plenty of fluids and sunscreen as a couple of the years I went to this tournament they had 40 degrees celsius temperatures.
Hosted by the fine people of the Kamloops Tennis Club this one is a must.
