http://www.qetennisclub.caJust a short ferry trip from Vancouver Victoria has a wonderful set of three public courts in Beacon Hill Park.
Unlike Vancouver Public Courts where you have to choose your court to wait on, Beacon Hill's rules give the next open court to the next person waiting. This is great because even one person can claim the court and others will join up with them.
This helps mix players...
We have made two trips to Beacon Hill and found the level of play to range from 3.0 to 4.5 for both men and women. The earlier morning has a nice group of social tennis players.
The players there are very open to visitors and we knew many players after our visit. We were not the only visitors. Our first day we played doubles with John from Portugal and Rod from Canmore Alberta.
If your tennis is in a slump and you need a change, a trip to Beacon Hill might be the remedy.
The False Creek Tennis Club is a recreational club for adult tennis players of level 3.0 and above. Organized social doubles games are played on Sunday mornings and Wednesday and Friday evenings. In addition, various tennis tournaments and social activities are held throughout the year.
