It is home to many beach volleyball leagues and neighbours Locarno Beach and Jericho Beach. On Jericho Beach there is the Jericho Sailing Centre where many people windsurf, kayak, and sail.

Spanish Banks has a nice natural feel to it and as you go around Point Grey there are many hidden beaches where people have some privacy. Further around the Point where the mouth of the Fraser river is Wreck Beach Vancouver's nude beach.

Kits Beach is located at Cornwall and Yew. It is a busy beach with lots of sun-bathers, basketball, tennis, footbag and other activities. The Watermark restaurant sits right at the beach for enjoying lunch or dinner with a waterfront view.
This beach has a high energy to it with six volleyball courts, a great outdoor basketball court and ten tennis courts. The place is a buzz where people and see and be seen.
At the East end there is a dog of leash park, museam and planetarium and on the West side a grass area for people to play kick bag, throw a football, more sunbathing and of course the huge Kitsilano Pool.
