Outdoor Volleyball Information

Vancouver is a great place for beach activities. With English Bay Beach, Kitsilano Beach, Jericho Beach and the long Spanish Banks Beach there is plenty of real estate to play beach volleyball.

Volleyball B.C. and many activity clubs offer play but you can also drop in during open times. The guidelines are as follows from the Park Board Website:

  1. There are permanent volleyball standards at the following sites in Vancouver. Lifeguards at the sites will sign out nets to the public, free of charge, but participants must supply their own ball.
  2. Nets are available 11:30am to 9pm daily, during the summer dates of May 20 to Sept 4.
  3. Players may use the courts on a first come, first served basis; courts are not reserved, there is no time-limit for their use.

Location and the Number of Courts
Kits Beach (4), Jericho Beach (2), Locarno Beach (2),
Spanish Banks East (1), Spanish Banks West (4), Sunset Beach (1), English Bay (1), Third Beach (portable only), Trout Lake (grass) (1),

The BCVA is permitted to use Vancouver Park Board fields to operate organized leagues and tournaments throughout the City. Call the BCVA, 604-291-2007 for more information.
