"Kiln Casting"

With Melanie Rowe, BCGAA Workshops 2000. Melanie Rowe is an internationally recognised kiln cast glass artist. This year she offers a weekend workshop in Vancouver. It will be a hands-on exploration of a variety of kiln casting techniques where students will learn about and be able to practice open face mold making with a variety of materials (mold mix 6, sand, etc.) and the use of various glass frits and sheet glass to achieve numerous colours, forms and transparencies for a variety of artistic and architectural applications.
